An authentic tea ceremony afternoon

The tea ceremony is a microcosm of Japanese culture as a whole. It encompasses the different arts and crafts and synthesises them into one. As a short-term visitor to this country your time here is limited. As it takes years to master and understand the tea ceremony, I can’t teach the whole of it in one day. But what I can, and will do, is to at least give you an insight in the beauty and value this ritual has to offer.

As experienced and accredited masters in this tradition we will help you to cognitively understand its culture by providing thorough explanations in English. But mainly we will allow you to feel the emotional energy that works underneath the surface of such an intimate gathering.

Pricing and Payment

Reservations should be paid in advance. Upon making a reservation, the booking party will receive a PayPal invoice via email, which allows for a wide range of secure payment methods. Your booking is confirmed only when your payment has been received.​

For guests who, for articulate reasons, are somehow restricted to timely pay the online invoice, we can occasionally make an exception. For those guests, cash and credit card payment at the time of visit can be arranged.

As a general rule, the payment confirmation from PayPal will serve as your receipt of payment. Should for specific reasons a handwritten or other formal receipt be necessary, please inform us ahead of time. We reserve the right to refuse requests for an alternative receipt on the day of the session.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations may be made until JPT 6:00 pm, 7 days prior to the date of your reserved session. A full 100% refund will be issued.

Cancellations received within 1 week to 2 days prior to your session will be refunded for 50%.

Cancellations made within 2 days from your scheduled session, on the day, or no-show will not be refunded.

PayPal service fees charged during the initial transaction may be deducted from the total amount refunded.

Refunds will be issued via PayPal within 30 days from the scheduled activity date.

We reserve the right to cancel any reservations before their scheduled time of commencement. Full refunds without deduction of service fees will be issued through PayPal.
